We are a collective of dog professionals who have come together to lead and set the standard of dog care in our community. We inform and inspire the industry on Vancouver Island, reflecting the iconic brands, creative minds and innovative technologies for dog care and responsible dog ownership and dog management.
In 2016, we came together to form professional best practices, setting a standard for businesses using public parks and trails in their work with dogs. The association collaborated with local parks in the creation of commercial dog walking permits and partnership for promoting responsible dog management in public spaces.
With the growth in popularity of dog ownership in recent years, CRADP is committed to growing responsible dog management, both with businesses and with individual dog owners. We welcome collaboration, partnership and supporting municipalities with effective dog management solutions for public spaces.
If you reside in the Capital Regional District and are a dog professional (ie, are paid for dog related services), you can be an active voting member of the CRADP, and a member of the CRADP Board.
If you reside outside the Capital Regional District on Vancouver Island and are a dog professional (ie, are paid for dog related services), you can be a member with access to group benefits but do not have voting rights.
Members are invited to join our extended medical and dental health care plan! Coverage for yourself, and for your employees with no pre qualifying, and you can cancel anytime with 30 days notice.
Do you know that if you use any Capital Regional District parks for dog related business use (one on one or group training, dog walking, etc) you are required to have Commercial Dog Walker Permit!
